There are many ways to keep your property warm and even wood fires have their differences.
A convection fire has a casing around the firebox which allows the air to flow. As the air passes through the firebox, it is heated. This action is known as convection. Convection fires are more suitable for a room or house with a standard ceiling height and in any space where more even heat distribution is desired.
A radiant fire transfers about two thirds of its heat by radiation and one third by convection. This type of heating device is ideally suited to rooms with high ceilings.
